Setup guide

Use Markty inside Claude

Markty works as a connector in Claude. Once connected, you can ask your Markty marketing team for briefs, drafts, images, scheduling and AI visibility answers without leaving the chat. Everything you ask spends credits and lands in Markty exactly as it would from the app.

Before you start

  • A Markty account on a paid plan. Trial accounts cannot connect yet.
  • A Claude account that can add custom connectors (Claude's paid plans), or Claude Code in your terminal.
  • The brand you want Claude to work with already set up in Markty. One connection works with one brand at a time; you can switch later.

Connect in Claude (web and desktop)

  1. 1

Copy your connector address in Markty

Open Markty, go to Integrations and find the Claude card. Click Connect and copy the address shown there. It ends in /mcp and is the same for everyone; what makes it yours is the sign-in that follows.

  2. 2

Add a custom connector in Claude

In Claude, open Settings and then Connectors (in older layouts: Customize, then Connectors). Click Add custom connector, paste the address, name it Markty and click Add.

  3. 3

Sign in and choose your brand

Click Connect on the new connector. A Markty window opens: sign in if you are asked to, pick the brand Claude should work with and click Allow. You are sent back to Claude and the connector shows as connected.

  4. 4

Enable Markty in a chat and ask

Start a new chat. Open the tools menu (the plus or sliders button next to the message box), make sure Markty is on, and ask for anything you would ask your team. Claude asks for your permission the first time it uses a Markty tool that creates or schedules something.

Claude Code (terminal)

  1. 1

    Register the connector once

Run this in your terminal, replacing the address with the one shown on the Claude card in Markty:

claude mcp add --transport http markty <your connector address>
  2. 2

Start a session, type /mcp, choose markty and follow the sign-in link to the Markty window. From then on the Markty tools are available in every session. Claude Code cannot display images in the terminal; it gives you the link instead.

What you can ask

Talk to Claude the way you would talk to a colleague on your marketing team. A few examples:

  • What is my brand voice, and who is my audience?
  • Give me today's brief.
  • Draft three Instagram posts about our autumn collection.
  • Create an image for a weekend sale post.
  • Schedule this post for Friday at 10:00.
  • How is my AI visibility this month?
  • Switch to my other brand.

Good to know

  • Nothing is published without you. Posts you schedule from Claude wait for your approval in the Markty calendar.
  • Credits are spent exactly as they would be in the Markty app, and Claude tells you the cost whenever a tool charges credits.
  • Images arrive as links that stay valid for seven days. The same image is saved in your Markty history.
  • Longer requests, such as an image or a research answer, can take a minute or two. Wait for the reply rather than asking again: the result is usually already in Markty before a repeat would finish.
  • Your Markty team keeps the day's conversation going, so a follow-up question continues where you left off.
  • You can disconnect at any time from the Claude card in Markty or from Claude's Connectors settings. Changing your Markty password also disconnects every assistant.

Troubleshooting

The Markty window says this is not available on my plan.
Assistant connections are part of Markty's paid plans. Upgrade in Markty and connect again.
Claude says the connector needs to be reconnected.
The connection was ended: you disconnected it in Markty, changed your password, or it reached its 90 day limit. Open the Claude card in Markty and connect again.
Claude cannot see my other brand.
A connection works with one brand at a time. Ask Claude to switch to the other brand, or disconnect and connect again choosing that brand.
The connector shows an error right after I added it.
Check that the address is exactly the one on the Claude card, with no trailing slash or extra characters, and that you completed the Allow step in the Markty window.

Your data

While a connection is active, the results of your own requests are delivered to Claude, which is operated by Anthropic. Markty never sends anything on its own, and your password, payment details and social-account tokens are never accessible through a connection. Section 8 of the privacy policy explains what is shared and how to withdraw.
