Outlook Integration
Outlook works the same way Gmail does in Markty: inbound mail is triaged, tagged with a category written back into Outlook, and mail that needs a real answer gets a brand-voice reply created as a native draft reply in the thread. Markty never sends. One difference worth stating up front: follow-up reminders for unanswered outreach are built for Gmail only right now.
What Markty does with Outlook
- Categories written back to Outlook: every scanned message is classified for urgency and given a category from a fixed 7-label taxonomy (Lead, Support, Partnership, Invoice, Marketing, Notification, Other), created as an Outlook master category under a Markty/ prefix with a Microsoft color preset. Mail tagged on an earlier scan is skipped.
- Native in-thread draft replies, never sends: automated and no-reply mail is filtered out, and genuine messages get a ready-to-send reply in your brand voice, created as an Outlook draft reply. The reply is written in Turkish or English to match the incoming message, and other languages fall back to English. The Markty inbox card links straight to your Outlook Drafts folder.
- One inbox across channels: Outlook items sit alongside Gmail and Slack in a single Markty inbox with urgency, category, done and dismiss, and they feed the recurring-questions roll-up that turns repeated customer questions into content suggestions.
- Outlook in the AI advisor: once connected, the advisor can list and read messages and folders, create draft replies, forwards and reply-alls, look at contacts, calendars and events, and manage categories. Send and reply sit behind the same hard confirmation gate as Gmail.
How to connect it

- 2Connecting is a paid-plan feature: trial accounts see an upgrade prompt instead of a connect button. Click Connect, read the short pre-connect guide, then authorize your Microsoft account through Composio OAuth.

- 4Review triaged items in Markty, then open the drafted reply in your Outlook Drafts folder to check and send it.
FAQ
How is this different from the Gmail integration?
Two things. Outlook gets master categories where Gmail gets labels, and follow-up reminders for outreach you sent that went unanswered are Gmail-only today. Triage and native in-thread drafts work the same on both.
Where do the drafted replies show up?
In Outlook itself, as a draft reply inside the original thread. The card in Markty links directly to your Drafts folder so you can read, edit and send from the client you already use.
Does Markty send mail from my Outlook?
Not on its own. The inbox automation only ever creates drafts, and sending through the advisor requires previewing the exact email on an earlier turn and then typing the confirmation phrase.
Does it touch my calendar?
The inbox automation only reads mail. Calendar and contact tools are available to the AI advisor when you ask it something that needs them, and they are read-only lookups.
How often does it check Outlook?
Once a day on a scheduled sync, plus a Refresh button in the Markty inbox, plus one wider scan right after you connect.
