Slack Integration
Slack is a read-and-reply channel in Markty, not a publishing destination. Markty polls your Slack for mentions and DMs that are still waiting on you, triages them and writes a reply in your brand voice, then posts it under your own account only when you confirm. You can also send a fresh message to any of your channels from inside Markty.
What Markty does with Slack
- Bounded daily scan: Markty lists your channels, checks the first few for messages that mention you and are not your own, and checks your recent DMs where the latest message came from the other person. Anything older than 5 days is skipped, and the whole scan is capped at 10 actionable items so it stays predictable.
- Triage plus a drafted reply: each surfaced message gets an urgency (high, medium, low) and a category from a fixed 7-label taxonomy, plus a ready-to-send reply in your brand voice, written in Turkish or English to match the incoming message. Markty detects which of the two the sender used rather than defaulting to your brand language; other languages fall back to English.
- Confirm-then-post replies: you edit the draft in the Markty inbox, hit Post to Slack, confirm in a dialog, and the message goes to that conversation under your account and the item is marked done. Slack markup is unwrapped first, so user IDs read as names and links read as labels.
- A channel composer on the Slack card: pick a channel from your workspace list, write the message, confirm, and Markty posts it. Once connected, the AI advisor can also browse channels and users, read conversation history and threads, search messages, and send a message after you say yes in chat.
How to connect it
- 1Open Integrations in Markty and find the Slack card.
- 2Connecting is a paid-plan feature: trial accounts see an upgrade prompt instead of a connect button. Click Connect and authorize your Slack account through Composio OAuth. The connection uses your own identity, so Markty only ever sees what you can see.
- 3Markty runs a first scan as soon as you return, and anything waiting on you appears in your inbox with a draft attached.
- 4Edit a draft and confirm to post the reply, or use Post to channel on the Slack card to send a fresh message.
FAQ
Will Markty post to Slack without me?
No. All three paths wait for you: replying to a surfaced message and composing to a channel each require an explicit confirmation, and when the advisor sends a message from chat it states what it will post and waits for your go-ahead.
What exactly does Markty read?
Only what your connected account can already see, and only a bounded slice of it: the first few of your listed channels for messages that mention you, plus your most recent direct messages where the last message is not yours. Messages older than 5 days are ignored.
Can I schedule marketing posts to Slack?
No. Markty's publishing calendar covers Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest and your blog. Slack is an inbox channel plus manual, confirmed channel messages.
How often does it check Slack?
Once a day on a scheduled sync, plus a Refresh button in your inbox whenever you want the latest, plus one scan immediately after you connect.
Is the Slack integration thin compared to email?
Somewhat, and deliberately so. The automated scan is limited to mentions and DMs that need you: it does not sweep your whole workspace or every DM, and no native draft is written back into Slack the way it is in Gmail and Outlook. The advisor can still search messages when you ask it to.
