Pinterest Integration
Connecting Pinterest lets Markty create pins on your boards and read your pin performance back. You schedule a single-image pin with a board, title, description, destination link and alt text; Markty can draft all of that copy for you. Once a week it turns your pin metrics into a card in the inbox with a suggested next action. Pinterest is single-image only in Markty: there are no video or carousel pins.
What Markty does with Pinterest
- Schedule single-image pins to a chosen board, with a pin title, description, destination link and alt text on every pin. You can also create a new board from inside Markty.
- Have the AI draft the pin copy for you: a keyword-first title, a description, descriptive alt text for accessibility and search, and your brand website prefilled as the destination link.
- Get a weekly Pinterest performance card in the inbox covering pins analysed, impressions, saves, pin clicks, outbound clicks and your top pin, each with a suggested action. Every published pin also shows its own performance in the post detail, measured from its publish date.
- Boost a pin that worked: Markty drafts two fresh title, description, alt text and image prompt variants of a published pin, generates a new on-brand image for each, and schedules them one and two weeks out for your approval. The image generation uses your visual credits. You can also browse and search pins from your boards to use as reference images when generating visuals.
How to connect it
- 1Open Integrations in Markty and find the Pinterest card.
- 2Click Connect and authorise Markty on Pinterest's own screen. The card then shows your username; open it to see how many pins have been published through Markty.
- 3Pick an existing board or create a new one, then schedule a pin with its image, title, description, link and alt text.
- 4Check the inbox for the weekly Pinterest performance card, or use the inbox Refresh button to generate the first one rather than waiting for the weekly run.
FAQ
Can Markty publish video or carousel pins?
No. Pinterest publishing in Markty is single-image only. The content calendar hides the Pinterest option entirely when more than one image is attached to the draft.
What does the weekly Pinterest card actually contain?
How many pins were analysed, plus impressions, saves, pin clicks and outbound clicks, your top-performing pin with its link, and a written summary with one suggested action. You can act on it or skip it, and if this week's card has not been generated yet you can pull it early with the inbox Refresh button.
What does boosting a pin do?
It drafts two new copy variants of a pin you already published: title, description, alt text and an image prompt for each. Markty then generates a fresh on-brand image per variant and schedules the two variants one and two weeks out, where they wait for your approval like any other scheduled post. The original pin is never reposted, and the image generation uses your visual credits.
Does Markty manage my whole Pinterest account?
No. It can list and create boards, create pins, read pin analytics and search pins. It does not manage followers, comments, Pinterest ads, or existing pins it did not create.
