Reddit Integration
Connecting Reddit turns on a community scout: it scans the subreddits you keep monitored, picks threads that genuinely fit your brand, and writes a value-first comment for each one in your brand voice. Nothing reaches Reddit automatically. You read the draft, edit it inline if you want, and confirm before it posts under your own account.
What Markty does with Reddit
- Builds and maintains your community list: subreddits are suggested from your brand voice, verified against live Reddit for existence and member count, and you can search and add your own, mute the ones that do not fit, or remove them. The scout only looks at communities you keep monitored.
- Finds and drafts opportunities: each run scans up to 5 monitored subreddits, pulls recent top posts, and keeps only the ones the model rates as genuinely on-topic for your brand (a 0.5 relevance floor, max 2 per subreddit), then writes a comment draft for each. Whether the draft may name your brand is gated on that subreddit's own rules.
- Review and post under your control: drafts land in your inbox and a dedicated Reddit hub, with a link out to the original thread, an inline editor for the comment text, a dismiss action, and a confirmation dialog before anything is published.
- Weekly cadence with an immediate first batch: the scheduler runs daily at 07:15 UTC but only tops you up on Mondays or once you have cleared every opportunity from the last batch, so an unread queue never piles up. Connecting Reddit kicks off a first batch straight away.
How to connect it
- 1Open Integrations in Markty and find the Reddit card.
- 2Connecting is a paid-plan feature: trial accounts see an upgrade prompt instead of a connect button. Click Connect, read the short pre-connect guide, then authorize your Reddit account through Composio OAuth.
- 3You land back in Markty and a first scan starts. Open the Reddit hub to see drafted comments and to manage which subreddits your scout monitors.
- 4Review each suggestion: open the thread, edit the draft in place, then confirm to post it under your Reddit account, or dismiss it.
FAQ
Does Markty post to Reddit automatically?
No. Every comment is a draft until you act on it. The text is editable in place and a confirmation dialog appears before anything is published, under your own Reddit account.
Which subreddits does the scout watch?
Only the ones on your list. Markty suggests communities based on your brand voice and verifies them against Reddit, and you can add subreddits by search, mute any that do not fit, or remove them. Up to 5 monitored subreddits are scanned per run.
Will the comments promote my brand?
Only where the subreddit's own rules allow it. Markty reads the community rules and gates brand mentions on them, so most drafts are value-first answers with no promotion.
How often do new suggestions arrive?
The job runs daily but tops up weekly: on Mondays, or on any day after you have cleared the previous batch. Connecting Reddit generates a first batch immediately.
Can I use Reddit inside the AI advisor chat?
Yes. Once connected, the advisor can search subreddits and read posts, comments and community rules, and it can post when you ask it to. The confirmation dialog described above covers the drafted suggestions in the Reddit hub; in chat, the advisor states what it will post and waits for your go-ahead.
