Asana Integration
Connecting Asana lets Markty's assistant search your workspace, list what is in a project, and create or update the tasks, subtasks, sections and comments behind a campaign, without you leaving the chat. It is chat-only: there is no Asana screen inside Markty, the connected card just shows status. Tools run when you ask, not on a schedule.
What Markty does with Asana
- Find work without an id: search tasks across a workspace, or list every task in a named project.
- Create and update tasks and subtasks, and delete them. One task, a batch read of several, or a whole campaign broken into subtasks.
- Read a task's full context: its subtasks and its comment and activity thread, then post a comment back.
- Structure projects: create projects and sections, list sections in a project, move a task into a section, and list the workspaces you belong to.
How to connect it
- 1Open Integrations in Markty and find the Asana card. Integrations require a paid plan: trial accounts see an upgrade prompt instead of a Connect button.
- 2Open the Asana card and read the pre-connect guide. Prerequisites are an Asana account and membership in the workspaces and projects you want to use.
- 3Click Connect, sign in to Asana and approve the requested permissions. The OAuth handoff runs through Composio, our integration provider. You are redirected back and the card switches to Connected.
- 4Ask the assistant in chat, for example "what's in the Launch project", "show my overdue tasks", or "break this campaign into subtasks". Disconnect from the same card at any time.
FAQ
Is there an Asana view inside Markty?
No. Asana is chat-only. The Integrations card shows connected status and lets you disconnect, everything else happens by asking the assistant.
Where do new tasks end up if I do not name a project?
In the default workspace or project, which can leave tasks stranded somewhere you did not expect. Name the project or workspace in your request when it matters.
Can it delete Asana tasks?
Yes, task deletion is in the allowed tool list. The assistant is instructed to confirm with you first, and to search or list rather than guess at ids.
Do I need admin rights in Asana?
No, but you do need membership in the workspaces and projects you want Markty to touch. The integration acts as your account, so it sees exactly what you see.
Does connecting Asana let Markty publish anything?
No. Publishing and scheduling in Markty cover Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest and blog only. Asana is work tracking, it has no publishing role.
